Amenities To Expect In A Restroom Trailer

If you are planning a large event, such as a city festival, a concert, or a Renaissance fair, you've got a lot of planning to do. Many people don't realize the logistics that go into spearheading a large public event. Everything from security to vendors to public restrooms has to be considered. When your event is held in a space that wasn't originally designed to such high foot traffic, you may be required by law to provide additional restrooms for patrons. You can rent restroom trailers, a step up from traditional porta-potties, to do the job. But what should you look for when shopping for restroom trailer rentals? Keep a lookout for these amenities.

Capacity

Not all restroom trailers are created for the same target markets. Some trailers simply offer the basics (and are essentially porta-potties on wheels) while others look and function similar to a spacious restroom in a high-end hotel or restaurant. These differences bring disparities in privacy. You can order a trailer with stalls, similar to that of a traditional public restroom. Or you can rent trailers with individual rooms at varying sizes, depending on your budget. Ask the trailer rental company how many bathrooms are typically required for the crowd you're expecting.

Water Delivery

If your event is set to last a few days or even a week, you might need someone to come out and deliver more water so your guests can continue to wash their hands properly. When dealing with a company, make sure to learn how water delivery is scheduled and completed.

Valet Service

You might find it necessary to hire valets to attend to restrooms, especially if you expect large crowds. They can re-stock toilet paper and towels, keep the restrooms clean, perform crowd control, and empty trash. A good valet service will stay until the end of the event and prepare the trailers for pick-up, as well. When you have to decide between two companies, you might want to choose the one that has valet service so you don't have to worry about tending restrooms the entire event.

In addition to the normal features you expect of a rental restroom, the three considerations above can help you choose the right restroom trailer for your event's specific needs. Call a company that specializes in large restroom trailers and ask about the capacity each restroom can hold, the water delivery situation, and whether or not they provide valet services.
